Insert Molding

Insert Molding

In insert molding, inserts are enveloped by injection molding, typically:

  • Contacts -> bobbins
  • Coils -> product with defined interface

Possible process chain

  •  Insert molding of contacts
  • Bobbin is coiled and winding is contacted
  • Coil is insert-molded
  • Test (e.g. through connectors) and labeling (retraceability) of the finished product

Know-how

  • Development and engineering of insertmolded components and coils suitable for insert molding
  • Engineering of injection molds
  • Definition of materials and processes

Applications

  • Automotive industry (coils with standard connectors)
  • Textile industry (electromagnets)
